Clipboard manager for Mac
You copied it once.
Never lose it again.
Your Mac's clipboard holds one thing and forgets it the moment you copy the next. ClipVault keeps all of it — text, code, links and screenshots — and brings any of it back with a single keystroke.

Why it exists
The clipboard is the most-used
tool on your Mac. And the most forgetful.
You copy a link, then a code snippet, then an address — and the link is gone. So you go back to the tab, find it again, copy it again. Dozens of times a day.
ClipVault quietly remembers every copy in the background. When you need something from earlier, press the hotkey, type two letters, and it's back on your clipboard, ready to paste.
No more digging through tabs for the thing you already had.
How it works
Copy as usual. Find it in a second.
There's nothing new to learn. ClipVault fits around what you already do.
- 01
Copy like always
⌘C anywhere. ClipVault saves it with the app it came from and the time.
- 02
Press the hotkey
The vault slides up from the bottom of the screen, over whatever you're doing.
- 03
Pick and paste
Click a card or press ↩. It's on your clipboard — paste it anywhere.
Quick Suggest
Start typing.
It finds the copy.
Quick Suggest is a small, fast picker that opens right where you're working. Type a few letters and it narrows your history instantly — match the start of a clip, or anything it contains.
- Starts or Contains matching, switchable in one click
- Every clip labelled — Text, Code, URL, Image
- Arrow keys and ↩; your hands never leave the keyboard
What it keeps
Every kind of copy, sorted for you.
Colour-coded cards tell you what's what at a glance. Tabs keep the rest tidy.
Text
Messages, notes, addresses and error messages — with a character count so you know what you're pasting.
Code
Snippets keep their formatting and indentation, shown in a monospace preview.
Links
Every URL with its site name underneath, so you can tell links apart without opening them.
Images
Screenshots and copied pictures as thumbnails. Paste them straight back into any app.
Notes
Pin what you paste every week — your email signature, a booking reference, a reply you send often.
Your own tabs
Add tabs for projects or clients and keep the clips that belong together in one place.
Private by default
What you copy is your business.
Stays on your Mac
Your history is stored locally. Nothing you copy is sent to a server to be indexed, read or sold.
You decide what's kept
Delete a single clip, clear a tab or wipe everything. Gone means gone.
Out of the way
Lives quietly in the menu bar. No dock icon, no notifications, no noise.
Instant
Opens in a blink and searches as you type, even with thousands of clips.
Keyboard first
Hotkey in, arrows to move, return to copy. The mouse is optional.
Looks like it belongs
A light, native-feeling tray that sits comfortably over any app.
Questions
How do I open ClipVault?
Press the hotkey from any app — ⌘⇧V by default, and you can change it in settings. The history tray slides up from the bottom of the screen.
What's the difference between the tray and Quick Suggest?
The tray shows your recent clips as large cards you can scan visually. Quick Suggest is a compact searchable list that appears where you're typing — best when you know roughly what you're looking for.
Does it keep images?
Yes. Screenshots and copied images appear as thumbnails and paste back at full quality.
Is my clipboard history uploaded anywhere?
No. Your history stays on your Mac.
The Mac says the app is from an unidentified developer.
During early access the app isn't notarised yet. Right-click it in Applications and choose Open the first time — macOS remembers your choice.
Copy once. Paste forever.
Free for Mac during early access.
