No settings to learn. Your folders stay exactly where they are.
Drag folders onto FolderForge, or right-click in Finder and choose Quick Actions → Assign Folder Image.
Pick one of 36 handcrafted 3D objects, accept the smart suggestion, or import your own PNG.
Click Apply or press ⌘S. The icon updates everywhere in macOS. One click puts the default back.
The gallery
Every icon is a miniature 3D scene rendered at 1024 × 1024, so it stays sharp from list view to the biggest icon size.

Under the hood
Reads the folder's name and what's inside it, and recommends a match. A folder full of .swift files gets Coding; one called Barcelona gets Spain.
.swift .jpg .pdf .ipynb and moreFolderForge adds itself to Finder's Quick Actions, so you can restyle folders without opening the app at all.
No background helpers, no timers, no menu-bar icon. When you close it, it uses nothing — not memory, not battery.
