Privacy Policy — Living Notch

The short version

Living Notch collects nothing. No accounts, no analytics, no telemetry, no tracking. Widget data stays on your Mac.

What we collect

Nothing. Living Notch does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on servers operated by us. There is no sign-up, no advertising, and no third-party analytics SDK in the app.

Permissions & why they're needed

Accessibility

Used to mirror notification banners (app icon and name) below the notch.

Location (approximate)

Used only to fetch local weather. Your location is never stored or tracked.

Media & System Info

Used to display Now Playing, battery, storage, and network status in widgets.

On-device processing

Widgets read public system state (media playback, battery, calendar events, files) locally on your Mac. Nothing is recorded or transmitted except the weather request described below.

Third-party services

Weather data comes from Open-Meteo. Requests include only approximate coordinates needed for a forecast — no identifiers, no storage on our side.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be published on this page with a new "last updated" date.
